Alain’s All-road

Alain came to the workshop with a Brooks saddle that has seen many miles and asked me to build a new bike around it. He wanted a ride to cover roads and paths of the beaten track equally, light but fully equipped with lights, fenders and racks to go on multi-day trips.

Et voilà, Alain’s allroad bike, made from Columbus Zona (frame) and Reynolds 631 (fork) steel, is ready to hit the road, equipped with the finest durable components. Wheels built by Matthias using our favorite Velocity Blunt SS rims, SON dynamo in the front, Hope Pro4 hub in the back, and 650x47b Teravail Rampart tires.

Transmission is Sram Force CX1, updated with the very light Hope RX cranks. The brakes are JuinTech R1 hybrids. Finishing kit is Ritchey WCS, Honjo H80 Fenders, Son lights and to go traveling we installed the light and sturdy TimTas U-Loop bags in the front and rear.
