Alexandre’s Randonneur

Alexandre’s randonneur was on display during the Salon of the Concours de Machines at the famous Vélodrome. He kindly allowed my to show it there before taking it on summer rides. And there will be more coming in the future: Alexandre is planning to do Paris Brest Paris with the bike next year. The fit was very important to him so he went, as many of my clients over the past years, to Édouard Hervé aka La clinique du cycliste for an in-depth analysis and a professional bike fit.

The frame is made from Columbus Zona tubes for comfort on long distances with a Columbus SL fork. Wheels are done by Matiq with Pacenti Brevet 700c rims and Rene Herse Barlow Pass 35 mm tires with endurance casing. There is a SON 28 hub in the front for lights (SON DC in the front and Supernova in the rear) and charging (Forumslader) and a Hope RS4 hub in the rear. Honjo Fenders are keeping bike and rider protected from below.

Transmission is Shimano Ultegra coupled with the beautiful polished Paul Touring Canti brakes, the Vélo Orange Grand Cru Drillium Crankset to complete the classic look.

The front rack and the stem with décaleur and cable stop are built in-house. The handlebar bag was made to measure by my friend Jean-Michel aka TIM TAS & REK.

The paint job in “fraise écrasée” was done by M-Level.
