Bart’s Randonneur

Bart’s ‘randonneur is blending modern components with the classic look of polished components. It’s the first time I’m having the pleasure of installing the White Industries 12 speed polished chain rings and they look great apart from the fact that there is now a beautiful option to fine tune the drive train with smaller chain rings for road transmissions.

The frame is built from Columbus Spirit tubes with Paragon flat-mount dropouts (when building the frame I had no idea that those would be vintage by the time the bike is built up). The fork is made with Reynolds 631 fork blades designed for disc brakes.

The wheels are built inhouse with Velocity Aileron 700c rims. There is a SON dynamo hub to power the Son Edelux front light and the Bush & Müller in the rear (the bike will be ridden in the UK so the rear light is on the right). The rear hub is a Hope Pro5 and the tires are 42 mm Panaracer Gravel King.

Transmission and brakes are Shimano 105 and the finishing kit is Ritchey Classic. Shiny Honjo H50 Fenders, a Brooks C15 and MKS touring pedals to finish the build.
