Concours de Machines 2021 - Gravel set up

One of the requirements of the Concours de Machines was to create a bike that can be converted to every-day use. Here is the bike riding the trails of the Jura for the Concours set up as a gravel bike or fast commuter.

To respond to one of the other requirements for double use of components, we designed the pannier racks in a way that they can be combined to a porteur rack for commuting with a little adapter pieces. The piece of leather you see is hand carved and sits between the fender and the fork (there are two M5 bosses embedded in the fork head) for noise reduction and to keep rack adapter and fender nicely separated.

We used the Fidlock system to attach the custom bags. I still want to test this a little longer before a final verdict. So far so good. The bags were sitting solid even on tough terrain.
