Gerald’s Allroad

Flashy colors were a must for Géralds new ride. And it had to be versatile: light long-distance road set up (he is planning to do long distance races such as Paris Brest next year and the many brevets leading up to it), touring and traveling with light luggage, adding mudguards as an option.

For the rather large frame I went for a Columbus Max front triangle to add some stiffness with bilams on the head tube and seat tube for strength and esthetics. The rear triangle is made from Columbus Life tubing. The fork is a Rodeolabs Spork 3.0 which allows to hide the dynamo cable and provides options to add luggage.

Wheels made by Matiq with a SON 28 dynamo hub in the front to power the Forumslader for lights and device charging and a Hope RS4 rear hub on H plus SON Hydra rims with Teravail Rampart 700x38c tires.

The transmission is a Sram Force 1x11 with a small 28 chainring - crankset and bottom bracket made by White Industries. Juin Tech R1 hybrid brakes, Salsa Cowchipper handlebar, Ritchey WCS stem and seat post, Brooks Cambium C17 saddle to complete the build.

The super light U-Loop bags are as usual perfectly assembled by Jean Michel aka TimTas. Great paint job by M-Level.
