Johan’s Monster Cross

Johan is a big guy, hence we chose a Colombus Max tube set for the front triangle, Columbus Zona in the back. To keep the bike light we installed the versatile Rodeo Adventure Labs Spork 2.0 fork, ideal to add some luggage and enough space in the steerer to install the popular charger “Forumslader”.

The front rack is made in-house and will provide a variety of options to strap on dry bags, a tent or a sleeping bag. Other little custom details include the minuscule stem lamp mount and the shoulder strap to carry the bike when riding isn’t an option anymore.

The wheels are built as usual in-house: Velocity Blunt SS 27.5” rims and Maxxis Ikon 2.2” tires on a Hope Pro4 rear hub and a SON 28 dynamo in the front. The transmission is Sram Force 1x11 upgraded with a beautiful White Industries M30 crank set. Periphery is from Ritchey, Salsa and Brooks England.
