Nicolas’s Cento

New bike day for Nicolas with this classic pure road bike in limited edition @columbus_official Cento steel, a tube set which was released to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the company in 2019. I kept it to build exactly this type of bike and Nicolas’s requirements were the perfect match (even though it unfortunately didn’t coincide exactly with my 100th frame).

To stay true to the Italian roots for the tube set, the bike is equipped with an all mechanical Campagnolo Chorus 2x12 group set, Campagnolo wheels, Deda components and a Columbus Caliper fork. The touch points (saddle and bar tape) are made in France by Cycles Berthoud. They were delivered in a nice bundle box with a rearview mirror and other goodies.

I powdercoated the frame myself (a three-colour fade with Prismatic Powders) and Nicolas, being from Roubaix, wanted to show everyone that this is a LaFraise Cycles proudly made here, so it is the first frame that carries the name on the down tube.
