Stella’s Porteur
Commuting in style. A pragmatic build for a life by bike. It’s new bike day for Stella with a classic, lugged porteur, versatile and easily transformable for traveling or randonneuring.
The frame and fork are made from lightweight Tange Ultimate tubing for a comfortable and fast ride. The wheels were built by Matthias with a SON Dynamo hub and a Hope RS4 on Velocity A23 rims, rolling on light Panaracer Gravel King tires (650x38b).
Many of the components are from Velo Orange: Fenders, brake levers, bottle cage, handlebar. The lights are Busch + Müller with the IQ-X front light attached to a super practical Wald basket. Esthetic center piece and a touch of luxury is the White Industries ENO crankset.
The transmission is a reliable Shimano Deore XT 1x11 and the brakes are the light and strong Avid Shorty Ultimate. The thin yet solid powder coat paint job was done by Cycles Flamingo in Queen’s Jade from Prismatic Powders.
