Marion's Mixte

A lot of love and attention to detail went into this creation. The frame is inspired by the Motobecane Mixtes of the 70s with the split top tube but the real trigger was a bike I saw a few years ago by my colleague Yuji from Kimura Cycleworks who took the split top tube design to a different level.
All cables are routed internally through the tubes of the front triangle. A special feature is the cable leading from the SON Delux SL dynamo hub to the front light. It goes through the right fork blade and does not require a plug on the dynamo which makes front wheel removal a breeze. The contact is integrated in the right fork drop out.The lugs received a bit of a treat for more playful lines. The components where carefully chosen to match the care that went into the frame: Brooks leather saddle and grips, Paul Components center pull brakes, White Industries cranks, Gilles Berthoud fenders and a SON lighting system. The transmission is provided by the Sturmey Archer 8-speed internal geared hub. The wheels are hand-built with Soma Weymouth 650b rims and they run on Grand Bois Cypres 32mm tires. The rack is custom build by TIM TAS & REK.
