Nicola’s randonneur
A classic and versatile 650b randonneuse with a mid-trail geometry, solid and comfortable for long bikepacking trips with a full set of front and rear panniers but also light and agile without the racks to take on brevets and fast weekend rides.
The frame is made from Columbus Zona tubes. Wheels built in-house: light Velocity A23 rims, Hope RS4 rear and SON Delux dynamo front hub, my favorite Compass Loup Loup Pass 38mm tires. Transmission is a Sram Rival 1x upgraded with the gorgeous White G30 crankset. Paul Components Touring cantilever brakes to slow things down. Ritchey classic parts to stay with the shiny theme and all the Gilles Berthoud goodies (Aspin saddle, bar tape and plugs, fenders) will make it a head-turner.
